CU admission test 2011-12 begins on Nov 26 Chittagong University's (CU) first year admission test for the academic session 2011-2012 will be held from November 26 to December 1. The admission seekers can apply from September 5 to October 10 and must register by a Short Message Service from Teletalk numbers, says a university press release. The details can be found on the university website at www.cu.ac.bd. The test will be out of 100 marks with questions in multiple choice format. For the first time, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. On November 26, tests under two units will be held -- Faculty of Science (A unit) at 10:30am and Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (F unit) at 2:30pm. On November 27, test under another two units will be held -- Faculty of Biological Science [H (H1, H2, H3) unit] at 10:30am and Institute of Marine sciences and Fisheries (G unit) at 2:30pm. On November 28, test under Faculty of Business Administration [C (C1 unit)] will be held at 10:30am and tests under Art [C (C2) unit] and Science [C (C3) unit] will be held at 2:30pm. On November 29, test under only Faculty of Arts and Humanities [B (B1) unit] will be held at 10:30am. On November 30, test under Faculty of Social Sciences [D (D1, D2, D3) unit] will be held at 10:30am. At 2:30pm, tests for Arabic and Islamic Studies [B (B2) unit], Fine Arts [B (B3) unit], Oriental Languages (Pali and Sangskrit) [B (B4) unit] and Dramatics [B (B5) unit] will be held. On December 1, test under Faculty of Law (E unit) will be held at 10:30am. Furthermore, A, G and H unit applicants must have a combined GPA of 7 in SSC and HSC without additional subject while GPA 3 separately. B1 and D unit applicants must have a combined GPA of 6 without additional subject while GPA 3 separately. B2, B3, B4 and B5 unit applicants must have a combined GPA of 5.5 without additional subject. C1, C2 and C3 unit applicants must have a combined GPA of 7.5 without additional subject while GPA 3.5 separately.
